Lem’s range of uniquely designed macrame products include wall decor, room dividers, folding chairs, planters, hanging shelves, decorative mirrors and clocks, cushion covers, runners, lanterns, curtains, backdrop curtains and accessories. Macrame is a form of textile produced by using the knotting technique. It refers broadly to the craft of knotting cords together decoratively to make objects. Lem’s designer is self-taught with a keen design sensibility who loves the flexibility of working with macrame. Lem handicraft trains and employs local uneducated women artisans so that they can earn a respectable living and sometimes supplement their husband’s earning all in the comfort of their own home.
